CLAIRE'S MUSICAL ADVENTURE, PART EIGHT

Talking with the Faery Queen

"Dear Faery Queen, your Majesty, we need to find some way to protect ourselves from the ruthless dictator. He might send the Flying Chimps to our realm to abduct you or our King. The Flying Chimps almost abducted me the last time they were here, you know."
"Yes, dear child, why don't you talk to the leader of the dragon faeries and see what he thinks?" the Queen agreed.

Talking with the Dragon Faery Leader

"Yes, I will speak to the dragon faery leader, and I will say, 'The Queen is hoping that you heroic dragon faeries will protect us from the Flying Chimps and the ICY chaos agents who abduct us and brutalize us,'" Claire stated.
"Yes, very good. I think that might work," the Queen responded.

Invasion of the Chimps

The Queen continued, "Those awful chimps are no match for our dragons. I'm sure they'll think twice about trying to abduct us and brutalize us if they have to fight our ferocious dragon faeries. Good thinking, Claire."
"Thank you, your Majesty," Claire curtsied as she replied.

Almost Abducted

"One of those awful chimps almost abducted me! They have abducted so many innocent faeries and sent them to concentration camps. I shudder to think what it would have been like if they had taken me away!" Claire blurted out.

Arrested by ICY Agent

"And you know those awful ICY chaos agents kidnapped Thomas," Claire continued. "I had to find Thomas and help him escape from the concentration camp!"
"Brave child," the Queen replied. "So many faeries are now in concentration camps because the people in power say that we are illegal immigrants from another part of the forest! I shudder to think what the powerful, wealthy people and the prison guards do to our lovely faeries. Maybe the dragon faeries can help our faeries to escape!"
"If I can do it, I'm sure the dragon faeries can too," Claire responded.

El Presidente and His Advisor

The Queen continued, "I've heard that the Dictator's advisor is a raving psychopath who can persuade El Dictator to do all sorts of horrible things."

Obliterated in International Waters

"Like obliterating people in boats in international waters and shooting Christian mothers in the head and bombing other countries and kidnapping people?" Claire asked.
"Yes, just like that. I'm surprised you know about all that."
"I'm sure all faeries who are even half-awake know about all that by now, your Majesty," Claire replied.

Golden Gifts and Puppies for El Presidente

The Queen suggested, "Another way we might deal with the fascists is by giving El Presidente expensive presents and puppies. Many other leaders have bribed El Presidente to keep him from invading their country or doing some other terrible thing. El Presidente loves bribes; that's why he threatens corporations and other countries all the time. I've heard that El Presidente gives the puppies to the current head of the Department of Homeland Security and never sees them again."

Hunger

"I've heard that all of the politians in the dictator's party are horrible people, possibly even sociopaths. They want to starve children and eliminate health care just so they can give huge tax breaks to billionaires!" Claire exclaimed.
"No doubt most--if not all--of them are somewhere on the spectrum of sociopathy. They would have to be," the Queen agreed.

Clear Cut of the Enchanted Forest

"They want to take away our public lands. They want to destroy our home. It's just so horrible to even imagine!" Claire blurted out.

Climate Disruption Disaster

"Even worse than that--climate disruption is reducing our forests to dirt and ash, and the politicians are doing nothing about it because they are bought off by corporations. Allowing corporations to destroy the planet is the height of venality and insanity," the Queen stated. "Yeah, instead they could be investing in renewable energy, which would be a lot cheaper and certainly less disruptive than invading other countries," Claire replied.
"You are right again, dear child," the Queen agreed.

Invasion of the Faery Realm

"I'm afraid that they are going to invade our beloved faery realm," the Queen lamented.
"I doubt it. We don't have any oil. They might want to cut down all of our trees though," Claire replied.

Faery Knight

"I think you're right. We can't trust the heartless psychos who run this world. We need to do everything we can to defend our realm. Perhaps you could convince the faery knights to join the cause as well."

Faery Knight Riding a Wolf

Claire replied, "It's certainly worth a try, your Majesty. Some of the wolves they ride into battle are pretty ferocious and scary."

Talking to a Dragon Soldier

"The knights could fight with the dragon soldiers," Claire suggested. "Even though the other side has terrible weapons, our side might win. Our soldiers are certainly courageous enough, your Majesty. If nothing else, we need to be courageous enough to protest."

Faery in Chimp Concentration Camp

"Yes, and maybe we could liberate all of the faeries from the concentration camps. We have to show those radical right-wing lunatics that we are not going to give up so easily."

Claire with Chimp

Suite No. 6, Sixth Movement:

CLAIRE'S MUSICAL ADVENTURE, PART SIX

Claire soared high above the enchanted forest. Suddenly she noticed something she had never seen before in the enchanted forest: a chimpanzee holding a banana. She swooped down and started up a conversation.
"How are you today, kind sir?" Claire asked. "If you don't me saying, you look kind of sad."
The chimp looked Claire straight in the eye, "Yeah, this banana is all I have left to eat. I used to be a human being," The chimp answered. "One day, when I woke up and looked in the mirror, I discovered that I had turned into a chimpanzee. Everyone else I knew had also turned into a chimpanzee. I soon discovered that the King had renamed the realm 'Banana Republican Land' and had turned us all into hairy primates."
Claire asked, "That's strange. Why do you think he did that?"

Knight Riding through Lupine and Poppies

"I used to be a knight of the realm," the chimp replied. "I suspect that the King and his minions have purposely made us all poor while channeling the vast majority of wealth into their own pockets. Being a knight was once a respected position in society, but the King demands absolute loyalty. If you don't swear complete loyalty to the King and instead take an oath to support the constitution, he turns you into a chimp so that you don't threaten to bring him to justice as he and his loyal friends break the law and violate the constitution to expand their power and wealth."
"What's it like to be a chimpanzee? If you don't mind me asking," Claire inquired.

Grocery Shopping

"Well, first of all, they turn you into a wage slave. They don't provide health insurance or a pension while at the same time they make wages stagnant as prices increase dramatically. It feels almost traumatic when you go to the grocery store nowadays. They want to traumatize people who work for a living, I think."
"But why would they do that?"

Paying Bills

"They want us to go deep into debt. That way they amass huge fortunes as we pay off our credit cards and mortages and cars and our health insurance premiums. To be honest, I felt more and more like a chimp every time I paid the bills. I think turning into a chimp has actually been a long process that we have been conditioned to believe is just the way life is--a life of wage slavery and fealty to our employers since we would starve and become destitute and homeless if we didn't work our tails off for the employer class. They want us to remain powerless and work our tails off for crumbs while they become rich off of the fees and interest that they rob us with."

Teaching

"Can't you find a way to break out of wage slavery?" Claire asked.
"You can become a rock star, I suppose, or receive an inheritance if you're lucky. Otherwise you have to work for a living. For a while I was a teacher. Even though I had worked long and hard to become qualified, I only received a half-decent wage without benefits like health insurance or a pension. I was rehired every semester, so I couldn't speak truth to power without risking my job, which is eventually what happened since I am always a knight at heart. The employer class even found a way to exploit teachers and make them feel like chimps."

After the Fire

"I can see how turning into a chimp might be a long process," Claire responded.
"Yeah, I was unrehired one semester because I protested against exploitation too many times," the chimp replied. "My rent kept going up, but it didn't matter because a fire swept through my neighborhood and burned down my apartment. Rich people bought off the politicians so that the 'lawmakers' wouldn't do anything to stop climate disruption. The region had become so dry that a whole city burned down in no time. By then, I was already feeling like a chimp."
"I think I would get pretty mad if that happened to me," Claire replied.

After the Drone Strike

"Yeah, I got angry and began to complain vehemently and to join protests as often as I could. Fortunately I found another place to live, but the king labeled me a terrorist and blew up my apartment with a weaponized drone. They had determined that I am 'anti-capitalist' and 'extremist' and 'unpatriotic' and 'immoral' and 'anti-Christian' even though I try to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and try to manifest the Christ-force in every way that I can," the chimp explained.

Homeless

"What happened after that?" Claire asked.
"Well, I lost my job because my employer found out that the authorities had labeled me a 'terrorist.' He didn't want them to blow up his place of business, so I became homeless. I hung out with other chimps on the street and moved around a lot. That way, the king's assassins couldn't find me," the chimp responded.

Claire and Thomas Singing to Chimp

"I'm going to find my faery friend Thomas. We make beautiful music together with our hearts. That might make you feel better."

Golden Temple

Claire returned with Thomas, and they sang beautifully together. As they sang, the chimp imagined a golden temple in the forest.

Ace of Pentacles

Then the chimp imagined a path to a celestial city in the sky. "Your music is making me feel much better," the chimp admitted .

Angel in Flowers

Then as the Claire and Thomas continued to sing, the chimp imagined a beautiful angel standing in a field of flowers. "The angel is so lovely," the chimp murmured.

Owl's Clover

Then the chimp imagined a hillside blanketed by owl's clover. "Wow. I didn't know I could imagine flowers so vividly," the chimp quietly confessed.

Owls Clover Faery

Then the chimp imagined a faery in the owl's clover. "Wow, I must be seeing the spiritual side of nature," the chimp whispered as he smiled.

Rainbow Goddess

Then the chimp imagined a rainbow Goddess standing in flowers. "She's so lovely, but I think she represents something spiritual--like the marriage of heaven and earth or the victory of love and beauty--despite the exploitation and ugliness and horror that we end up experiencing in this world.

Chimp with Wings

Suddenly, because of the lovely music, the chimp sprouted wings and soared high above the forest.

Suite No. 6, Seventh Movement:
HOW CLAIRE HAS SURVIVED FASCISM SO FAR

Dictator on TV Giving a Speech

As Claire was strolling through the forest, she came upon four TVs hanging on trees next to the path. Claire watched a couple of commercials, and then the dictator appeared on all four screens and gave a speech about a terrorist organization known as Antifa. Unfortunately, the dictator didn't provide any evidence that the organization ever existed. According to the dictator, Antifa is a radical left-wing organization, unpatriotic, anti-capitalist, anti-Christian, anti-traditional, anti-this and anti-that. The dictator claimed that he could only save the realm by totally eliminating Antifa.

Magic Mirror

Claire listened carefully to the dictator's speech. Then she hiked back to the castle and found a knight gazing a long time into the magic mirror. The knight muttered to himself, "My father and his brothers fought fascists. Does the king want to execute them too?" Claire recalled the dictator's speech, and when the knight left, Claire gazed into the magic mirror. Suddenly, images that she was at that moment associating with Antifa began to appear in the mirror.

Antifa Wolf

A soldier riding a huge black wolf appeared first in the magic mirror. "Yikes! Antifa must be terrible! That wolf could gobble me up in a few seconds!" Claire gasped.

Antifa Breakers into Pieces

Then the image of a warrior riding a huge alligator while accompanied by several other ferocious alligators appeared in the magic mirror. "Yikes, those Antifa alligators could rip me apart in a few seconds!" Claire exclaimed.

Antifa Burners

Then in the magic mirror the image of a fiery demon on a fearsome horse appeared. "Yikes! That Antifa demon could reduce me to ashes in the blink of an eye!"

Antifa Troll

Then a troll appeared in the magic mirror, "Wow, that Antifa troll could drive me insane with all of his twisted lies and conspiracy theories in a few minutes."

Antifa Tearing Up the Rule of Law

Then Claire envisioned three trolls tearing up the constitution and the laws of the realm. "Dang it! Antifa is destroying all of our rules and norms and laws. Antifa is trying to tear up the very foundation of our society," Claire lamented. Then she thought for a moment. "Wait just a minute. Isn't our dictator tearing up all of our rules and norms and laws? Isn't he constantly presenting twisted lies and conspiracy theories to confuse us and drive us insane? Doesn't he want to burn everything down to the ground and break everything to pieces and gobble up everything? Doesn't he only want everything for himself?"

Antifa Professor

Then an image of a professor with black wings appeared in the magic mirror. "That's one batty professor! He must be indoctrinating his students with anti-capitalist and anti-Christian Antifa philosophy," Claire thought. "But, but, wait a minute! Maybe the dictator doesn't want professors to teach students how to think critically. Maybe the dictator wants us all to follow him without thinking at all about what he's doing."

Antifa Mob Burning Down a Federal Building

Then an image of people burning down a federal building appeared in the magic mirror. "Geez, that Antifa mob is really destructive. They must be evil anarchists who just want to burn everything down," Claire mumbled. "Wait just a minute! Isn't the dictator and his minions dismantling the federal government, what they call the administrative state, to privatize everything so that a few individuals and corporations profit? Isn't that another way to concentrate power and wealth in the hands of a few people? Is the dictator and his minions burning the federal government down to the ground so that a few people will gain more wealth and power?"

Antifa Insurrection

Then an image of an insurrection appeared in the magic mirror. "That Antifa mob is just a group of dangerous insurrectionists who want to destroy our norms and rules and laws. They pretend to be patriotic by carrying the flag while they storm the capital," Claire groaned. "Hold on, didn't the dictator lie repeatedly about how the opposition stole the election from him? Didn't he incite an insurrection to overthrow the results of the election? Who is the real insurrectionist here anyway?"

Antifa Holding a Key to the Kingdom

Then an image of a troll holding a golden key appeared in the magic mirror. "OMG! Antifa criminals have a key to the kingdom. They are stealing all of our private information in order to target us and surveil us and control us," Claire spit out. "But wait just a gallderned minute! Didn't the dictator allow a wealthy donor-- who gave him hundreds of millions of dollars--to steal all of our personal information? Now a few powerful people know everything about us and control all of our information! What could go wrong?"

Antifa at the Capitol Building

Then an image of a member of Antifa appeared in front of a crumbling capitol building in the magic mirror. "Antifa just wants to break everything to pieces, no matter how much that hurts the people of this great realm!" Claire exclaimed. "Wait, wait, hold on a minute. Didn't a radical right-wing organization write a plan that details how to tear government apart? Isn't the dictator following that plan step by step to create an authoritarian fascist state where he maintains absolute power? Following the fascist plan so far has neutered the other two branches of government--congress and the judiciary. The dictator is just continuing to concentrate power into his own hands."

Antifa at War

Then the magic mirror revealed an image of a battle. "Antifa just wants to start a civil war to divide and destroy this realm. They are truly evil," Claire pronounced. "Okay, hold on. Is Antifa a real organization, or did the dictator invent a radical left-wing organization so that he could invoke the Insurrection Act and use the military to control us all?" she thought for a moment. "What does Antifa really mean?" she thought some more. "Oh, yeah, I remember now. Antifa is short for anti-fascist. Many patriotic people fought fascists during the great war--and many of them died. Does that mean nothing to the dictator? Oh, wait, I get it now. Antifa is not a formal, structured organization with clear leadership or a membership list. It's just an ideology. The dictator and the oligarchs and plutocrats and kleptocrats who support him are the fascists. He is trying to start a civil war in order to crush his opposition. He doesn't want anyone to question him, so he wants us all to believe that anyone who criticizes him is part of some formal organization called 'Antifa.' No doubt, he'll send all anti-fascist dissenters to concentration camps or execute them--claiming that they are all 'Antifa.'"

Military Forces Saving Us from Immigrants and Antifa

Then in the magic mirror an image of a paramilitary force appeared. "These mercenaries are supposed to protect us?" Claire asked out loud. "All they are doing is kidnapping people and sending them to concentration camps without due process. They are terrorizing the realm. The dictator thinks he can control us that way."

Saving Us from Antifa Terrorists

The military breaking into an apartment appeared in the magic mirror. "The dictator has sent the military to intimidate us as much as possible. The military can call us Antifa terrorists and break into our homes and drag us off to concentration camps. The dictator even wants the military to shoot protesters. He is so anti-democratic. Everything is upside down."

Antifa Burning Up the World

An image of the earth burning appeared in the magic mirror. "I suppose the dictator wants us to believe that Antifa is trying to burn up the planet," Claire sighed. "The dictator's fascist corporate donars, of course, are the ones burning up the planet, not some marginal political movement or ideology known as Antifa."

HOW CLAIRE HAS SURVIVED FASCISM SO FAR

Bird Flying Out of a Painting

Claire was maybe worrying a bit too much about masked thugs breaking down her door and throwing her to the floor and handcuffing her and dragging her off to a concentration camp or to a deep, dark hole (without due process), so, thinking that paintings and sculptures might take her mind off of the fascist overthrow of a democratic republic, Claire pedaled her bike to a nearby art museum. Right after she started strolling through the museum, Claire noticed a bird flying out of a painting. "That didn't just happen, did it? Am I hallucinating, or is this a new art form? Or have the fascists created alternate realities everywhere--even in art museums? They rewrite history, after all. They basically want to control just about everything that we perceive and believe, so why should I be surprised?" Claire muttered out loud.

Fool Stepping Out of a Painting

Suddenly a fool stepped out of what appeared to be a hallway--but which turned out to be a hologram or some new form of art that Claire had never experienced before.
"What the...Who are you? Are you real?" Claire asked the fool.
"That might depend on what you believe is real. For instance, you might believe that we are now in a matrix, but perhaps the matrix isn't what you think it is. If you pay attention, you might discover that the matrix reveals dimensions of Universal Consciousness," the fool replied.

Skeleton Stepping Out of a Painting

Suddenly, a large skeleton stepped out of a nearby painting. Many people, a few of whom were screaming, scurried out of the room. "Don't be afraid," the fool assured Claire. "Usually in this society, one must experience deep transformation in order to open the heart and mind and develop a deep understanding of the matrix," the fool stated soothingly. "Death of the lower self, or what we often call the 'personality,' is a common experience in the process of enlightenment and usually opens doorways to spiritual realms. Follow me and I will explain." With the fool, Claire stepped through the painting or hologram into a dim hallway.

Salacious One

Suddenly Claire and the Fool encountered a terrifying creature with a lion's head and five animal legs. "Don't worry, this creature probably won't attack us. It tries to look powerful and scary, but like a bully it usually skulks away if you confront it. We have opened a door to another dimension. The creature in front of us represents the unbalanced energy of Venus."
"People who throughout history have had the ability to see into the spirit realms have experienced a composite symbol of the matrix, known as the Tree of Life, which reveals the subtle forces within the dimensions of Universal Consciousness as well as the balanced and unbalanced energies within each Emanation of the Tree of Life as well as within each individual human being: as above, so below. In a fascist society, which as you know is the matrix of government that we are currently living in--in this fascist society, rich, powerful men often manifest unbalanced salacious tendencies that are harmful to young girls and women, but because the rich and powerful have a lot of money and political influence, many of them get away with it. These powerful men usually do not realize that during their salacious activities they are manifesting the unbalanced energy of the Emanation of Victory, which is associated with the Goddess Venus--an unbalanced energy which is commonly known as 'lust' and which often includes a desire for power and control over people and even over entire societies. The balanced energy of Venus is selflessness--in other words, selfless love, free of the desire for domination or control over other people. You see, every archetypal power or energy within the matrix of the Tree of Life contains both a virtue and a vice. Fascist leaders, almost without fail, manifest the vice of many of the Emanations within the matrix."

Breakers into Pieces

Then Claire and the Fool strolled out of the building and encountered a ferocious warrior riding on the back of an alligator. The Fool continued, "We have entered another dimension. These frightening fellows represent the unbalanced energy of Jupiter. This unbalanced energy often manifests in leaders who desire power and wealth above everything else. The fascists often insist that they are chosen by the Divine and that only they can 'save the people.' They also often claim that they must tear everything down and start over so that they can build a more just and stable and equitable society. Instead they break the law and steal whatever they can and accept large bribes and send in military forces to oppress the people, and they end up breaking everything into pieces so that the people, especially the poor and vulnerable, end up suffering more injustices and inequality and instability than they ever had before. The Breakers into Pieces, who we see before us now, represent the unbalanced forces of the Emanation of Mercy--the unbalanced forces being tyranny, bigotry, gluttony, and hypocrisy. In other words, fascists selfishly exalt themselves above everyone else and often believe that they are also above the law. Fascist leaders constantly manifest these unbalanced qualities and usually end up destroying their realm instead of saving it."

The Burners

Then, as Claire and the Fool continued on their tour, a fiery demon rode by them on a horse. "We need to be careful now," the Fool warned. "These monsters incite violence and war, and they desire to burn everything down to the ground. They manifest the unbalanced energies of cruelty and destructiveness associated with the Emanation of of Power associated with Mars. Fascist leaders in power are often cruel and destructive and end up burning everything down, especially if they can't maintain their power or their lawlessness. They burn up the constitution and the laws of a democracy in a trash bin because they want more than anything to practice their cruelty and destructiveness without being held accountable. They throw people into concentration camps without due process and torture and kill people with impunity because they find ways to neuter the justice system and the congress--so that as dictators, they have all the power. On the other hand, the ideal balanced energies of Mars include courage and strength and discipline and righteousness--which fascist leaders cannot manifest because they remain ruthless lawbreakers."

King of Swords Stepping Out of a Painting

The Fool then guided Claire back to the museum. Suddenly a king holding up a sword stepped out of a large painting. "The King of Swords embodies high authority and power derived from knowing the truth and using logic to make decisions in a decisive, intentional way," The fool claimed. "The King of Swords operates from a place of honesty, using reason and facts to guide his actions. He encourages fair, objective viewpoints, and makes sound, evidence-based judgments. He always communicates clearly and truthfully. He strives for the highest good and knows that balance is the key and that balance is achieved through reason and truth. Quite different from fascist leaders, who constantly lie and deceive, isn't he?"

Angel Stepping Out of a Painting

Suddenly an angel stepped out of a nearby painting. The Fool explained, "Angels are divine messengers, protectors, and guides, and they bring with them hope, love, light, purity, and harmony. They also help connect humanity with God. They have wings for freedom and flight. Like Archangels, they are spiritual entities who serve the Most High. Fascists don't want us to know that spiritual beings such as angels exist because they want us all to feel alone and powerless."

Moon Goddess

Suddenly a Moon Goddess stepped out of a nearby painting. The Fool explained, "Moon goddesses are often seen as an embodiment of the divine feminine--and are also associated with the subconscious mind and intuitive wisdom. As a source of nocturnal light, the moon and its deities often represent the mysteries of the subtle realms and the hidden aspects of the human psyche. In certain cultures, moon goddesses embody rebelliousness and represent physical and mental liberation as well as opposition to patriarchal structures. Moon Goddesses are associated with the Emanation on the Tree of Life known as The Foundation, and they are associated with the feminine Holy Spirit--the aspect of God that gives birth to manifestation. Fascists subjugate women and suppress the power of the divine feminine as much as possible because they don't want feminine power to challenge or impinge upon their own power."

Mercury in the Hood

As Claire and the Fool continued their tour, they stepped into a neighborhood, and they found the God Mercury reading a book as he walked down the street. The Fool explained, "Mercury represents the splendor of the intellect, but he is associated also with commerce, trade, and travelers, and since the virtue of the Emanation of Splendor is truth, the unbalanced energy or vice of the Emanation is deception--hence Mercury's association with thieves. Mercury is also a messenger of the gods and guides souls to the underworld. He embodies quickness, cleverness, and communication. He wears winged sandals and a winged hat, and he often carries a caduceus, a winged staff with two snakes entwined together, which on one level represents the awakening the chakras within the human energy field known as the aura, which leads to enlightenment and optimal health. Fascists, who continually lie and use misinformation and disinformation to keep people sick and confused, do everything they can to suppress intellectual power--truth is the highest spiritual virtue of the eighth Emanation of the Tree of Life--and fascists fear truth more than anything."

Venus Stepping Out of a Painting

The Fool and Claire returned to the museum just as the Goddess Venus was stepping out of a painting. The Fool explained, "Venus, who is associated with nature and the arts, represents love, beauty, desire, sexuality, fertility, and prosperity. Her influence extends beyond romantic love, encompassing broader concepts of attraction, pleasure, birth and rebirth, and spiritual love as it exists in the planes of manifestation. Venus holds up a prism to the sun so that we can know the Many in the One and the One in the Many. As we experience all the diversity in the natural world, through Venus we can also experience the underlying unity of all creation. Fascists don't want us to know that we are one with other people and the earth because fascists want us to believe that we are all separate and alone and fighting for scraps."

Jesus in the Hood

For some reason the Fool and Claire returned to the neighborhood, and there they found Jesus. The Fool explained, "Jesus brought a new commandment to humanity: 'Love one another.' He wanted us all to know that the Kingdom of God is within us--in other words, he wanted us to know that God's divinity is within every person and therefore we should treat others the way that we want to be treated and feed the hungry and love our neighbor as ourselves and welcome the stranger. He wanted us to know that we are all one. Fascists may claim to be Christians, but fascists don't want us to believe that. Jesus is associated with the center of equilibrium on the Tree of Life as well as with the Sun. Jesus is the Son of the Trinity. Through Him we experience the Vision of Harmony and the Mysteries of the Crucifixion. Fascists vilify minorities and cause divisiveness in every way they can because the commandment of Jesus to love one another is a great threat to their power."

Mars in the Hood

As the Fool and Claire continued their walk through the neighborhood, the God Mars ran towards them with a flaming sword. The Fool explained, "Mars is a God of Fire and war and military power and the blood and din of battle, but he is also a God of courage and strength and discipline and spiritual righteousness who fights for justice to maintain harmony and balance in the world. Mars brings justice through 'Power,' which is the name of the Emanation of the Tree of Life that Mars is associated with. He is also associated with potency and fertility--in mythology, Mars had a love affair with Venus, which reveals the great potency of the divine masculine and the divine feminine joined on the spiritual and physical levels. Fascists are afraid of justice because they are constantly breaking the law, and they don't want people to know their own potency and spiritual power because that threatens the fascists' personal, political and economic power."

Jupiter on His Throne

As they continued their tour, we encountered Jupiter sitting on a throne as lightning flashed all around him. The Fool explained, "Jupiter is the King of the Gods, who embodies great authority. As the King of the Gods, he controls the weather and wields the power of the thunderbolt, symbolizing his power and sovereignty over both Gods and humans. Jupiter embodies great creative upbuilding power and is revered as the source of law and order. In the Emanation of Mercy on the Tree of Life, Jupiter enables us to experience the harmony, magnificence, and abundance within the human spirit and within the dimensions of Universal Consciousness. Fascists don't want us to experience the harmony, magnificence, and abundance of the human spirit because fascists, most of whom promote capitalism, want us to feel small and fearful and miserable and vulnerable and exploitable."

Saturn by the Sea

The fool and Claire entered another dimension of the matrix and encountered the God Saturn by the sea. In the Emanation of the Tree of Life known as Understanding, Saturn rules as the Father of the Gods. Saturn is associated with the root of form that grows and flourishes within the planes of existence, but he is also associated with death and sorrow because all form dies and breaks down and dissolves. Saturn represents the limitations of physical existence, the passing of time, the discipline of patience, the process of maturity. He is associated as well as with agriculture, with harvest, with wealth, with time, and with spiritual and mental and physical discipline. Saturn is known as the God who taught people to farm--the God who brought peace, abundance, and equality to society in a time known as the "golden age." Fascists don't want equality. Instead they want to channel wealth to themselves and to the super-rich cronies who support them. Fascists don't want a golden age of peace and abundance either--they want to incite violence and inspire divisiveness to keep the poor fighting each other instead of directing their anger at a tiny minority of powerful people who control most of the wealth."

Mother Mary

As they continued walking, the Fool and Claire encountered Mother Mary by the sea--which is the womb of all life. The Fool explained, "Mother Mary represents the divine feminine, which includes divine motherhood. She inspires faith and hope, and with her love and compassion she is revered as a mother figure for all of humanity. People identify with her love for Jesus and also identify with the sorrow she experienced as her son died on the cross. The Emanation of Understanding is the souce of great love and great sorrow--through which we come to understand and sympathize with the love and sorrow experienced by other people. She is the model of purity and virtue, and she is a powerful symbol of God's love and mercy--as well as a model for the love and mercy that we can show to each other as human beings. She is an intercessor who reveals a path to the Source, leading believers to God through her devotion. Like Jesus, she transcends the hateful divisiveness and the intentional conflicts created by fascists--and other greedy, power-hungry people. She helps us to experience the mercy and love and compassion at the heart of the matrix of the Tree of Life.
